Hey friends! Halloween is one week away and fall is in full swing across our communities. I checked what is happening Friday through Sunday in Brunswick, Valley City, Medina, and Hinckley so you can plan a few great days. Here is your weekend roundup.

Brunswick & Brunswick Hills

Pumpkin Village at Mapleside Farms is the weekend headliner with its Wild Wild West theme. Friday, October 23, is Fun Friday from 4 to 9 PM, Saturday, October 24, runs 11 AM to 9 PM, and Sunday, October 25, runs 11 AM to 6 PM at 294 Pearl Road in Brunswick. Pumpkin picking, hayrides, the giant corn maze, and the 311-foot Super Slide are all waiting; pre-sale tickets are recommended, since the final weekends sell out.

Tiny Town's Trunk or Treat is Friday, October 23, at 5 PM at Tiny Town Childcare and Enrichment Center, 3824 Center Road in Brunswick. Kids can trick-or-treat from decorated trunks in a safe, family-friendly setting.

Trunk or Treat at Market 42 is Sunday, October 25, at noon at 2099 Pearl Road in Brunswick. One more chance for the little ones to fill their buckets the week before Halloween.

Medina

The Great America 250 Pumpkin Salute lights up Public Square Saturday, October 24, from 6 to 9 PM and again Sunday, October 25, from 5 to 9 PM. Register a carved pumpkin and watch the lighting at 6 PM on the County Courthouse steps, with prizes for the funniest, scariest, and most creative pumpkins.

Witches Weekend at The Common Ground kicks off Friday, October 23, at 5 PM at 220 North State Road in Medina, with a Trick or Treat in The Warehouse.

Spooky Cookie Decorating is Friday, October 23, at 6 PM at The Grind Coffee Bar in Medina. A fun hands-on night of decorating spooky cookies.

The Medina Odd Fellows Annual Halloween Bash is Saturday, October 24, at 6 PM. Costumes and community fun to keep the Halloween energy going.

Valley City

A Valley City History Day is Sunday, October 25, from 1 to 4 PM, and it opens both of Valley City's museums at once: the LGAR Museum at 6705 Center Road and Liverpool's Depot Museum at 6615 Center Road. The restored 1895 train depot holds railroad artifacts, local maps, and an original mastodon tooth found on Myrtle Hill Road. A lovely small-town way to spend a Sunday.

Hinckley

Hinckley Halloween is Saturday, October 24, from 4 to 6 PM. The Hinckley Chamber of Commerce hosts trick-or-treating at Hinckley Preparatory Academy and along the downtown sidewalks, a safe and festive way for the littlest ghosts and goblins to celebrate.

Try-It: Pumpkin Paddle is Saturday, October 24, at the Hinckley Lake Boathouse Store in Hinckley Reservation. Cleveland Metroparks leads a staff-supported canoeing session with pumpkins out on the lake.

Run with Scissors starts Sunday, October 25, at 5 AM at Ledge Lake Lodge, 1151 Ledge Road. The trail races offer a half marathon, marathon, and double marathon looping through the reservation.

Whatever you get into, enjoy the weekend. And if one of these communities has you thinking about a move, I would love to help you find the perfect place to call home. I've got you.
