Hey friends! October is flying by and Halloween is just around the corner. I checked what is happening Friday through Sunday in Brunswick, Valley City, Medina, and Hinckley so you can plan a few great days. Here is your weekend roundup.

Brunswick & Brunswick Hills

Pumpkin Village at Mapleside Farms is celebrating its Wild Wild West weekend Saturday, October 24, from 11 AM to 9 PM and Sunday, October 25, from 11 AM to 6 PM at 294 Pearl Road in Brunswick. Friday, October 23, is Fun Friday from 4 to 9 PM, a lighter-crowd chance at pumpkin picking, the giant corn maze, hayrides, and the 311-foot Super Slide before the weekend rush.

Tiny Town's Trunk or Treat is Friday, October 23, at 5 PM at 3824 Center Road in Brunswick. Kids can trick-or-treat from decorated trunks in a safe, family-friendly setting to kick off the Halloween fun early.

Trunk or Treat at Market 42 is Sunday, October 25, at noon at 2099 Pearl Road in Brunswick. One more chance for the little ones to fill their buckets the week before Halloween.

The Brunswick has live music Saturday, October 24, with The Inflatables from 1 to 5 PM and Stolen Mojo at 8 PM. A relaxed way to cap off the afternoon and evening.

Medina

The Great America 250 Pumpkin Salute lights up Public Square Saturday, October 24, from 6 to 9 PM. Bring a carved pumpkin for the contest and lighting on the County Courthouse steps, with a costume contest, games, music, a hay maze, face painting, and food trucks as the city aims for the record for most lit pumpkins in one spot.

Halloween at Hambley is Saturday and Sunday, October 24 and 25, from noon to 5 PM at Hambley Park. This free, all-ages celebration from the Medina County Park District is a great way to get the kids outdoors.

Creature Feature: Spiders is Saturday, October 24, from 10 AM to noon with the Medina County Park District. A free, all-ages program that makes eight-legged friends a little less scary.

Medina Entertainment has a big music weekend: Friday, October 23, features NEIL!, Martin Zellar's tribute to Neil Diamond, and Saturday, October 24, brings the Little River Band. Doors open early, so check the lineup for showtimes.

Valley City

The Liverpool Depot Museum October Open House is Sunday, October 25, from 1 to 4 PM at 6615 Center Road in Valley City. The Valley City Community Group opens the historic 1895 train depot for the afternoon, complete with a Porter Dinky steam locomotive, a 1926 caboose, and local railroad history. A lovely small-town way to spend a Sunday.

Hinckley

Hinckley Halloween is Saturday, October 24, from 4 to 6 PM. The Hinckley Chamber of Commerce hosts trick-or-treating at Hinckley Preparatory Academy and along the downtown sidewalks, a safe and festive way for the littlest ghosts and goblins to celebrate.

Otherwise, the trails around Hinckley Lake and up at Whipp's Ledges are gorgeous right now as the leaves fade. Pack a lunch and make an afternoon of it.

Whatever you get into, enjoy the weekend. And if one of these communities has you thinking about a move, I would love to help you find the perfect place to call home. I've got you.
