Hey friends! Mid-October has arrived and the leaves are at their absolute peak. I checked what is happening Friday through Sunday in Brunswick, Valley City, Medina, and Hinckley so you can plan a great few days. Here is your weekend roundup.

Brunswick & Brunswick Hills

The Great Pumpkin Fest at Mapleside Farms is the weekend headliner, running Saturday, October 17, from 11 AM to 9 PM and Sunday, October 18, from 11 AM to 6 PM at 294 Pearl Road in Brunswick. It celebrates the famous Pumpkin Wall and all things pumpkin, with the full Pumpkin Village lineup: the giant corn maze, hayrides, pig trains, and pumpkin picking across more than 100 acres. Bring the whole crew.

Horse Drawn Hayride and Bonfire is Saturday, October 17, from 2 to 10 PM at 360 Pearl Road in Brunswick. A horse-drawn hayride through the woods with a campfire to end the night, and tickets run around $18. Bring a picnic and settle in for a cozy fall evening.

Halloween Trivia Night is Saturday, October 17, at 7 PM at 1255 North Carpenter Road in Brunswick. Test your spooky-season knowledge with a fun night of Halloween-themed trivia, a great low-key way to cap off the day.

Medina

Takin' It to the Limit, an Eagles tribute, plays Friday, October 16, at Medina Entertainment Center on Weymouth Road in Medina. Doors open at 7 PM and the show starts at 8 PM. If you love classic rock, this is your Friday night.

Basket Weaving 101: Autumn Basket is Saturday, October 17, from 9:30 AM to noon with the Medina County Park District. It is a hands-on workshop where you weave your own autumn basket to take home, and registration is required. A creative way to spend the morning.

Medina Cars & Coffee rolls into Uptown Medina on Sunday, October 18. Grab a coffee and walk among classic and exotic cars for a relaxed morning around the square.

Valley City

Valley City's own calendar is quiet this weekend, and that is part of its charm. Mill Stream Park on the Rocky River is lovely for a fall walk any day of the weekend. Save the date: the Liverpool Depot Museum's next open house is Sunday, October 25, from 1 to 4 PM at 6615 Center Road.

Hinckley

There is no confirmed festival on the Hinckley calendar this weekend, but the Hinckley Reservation is always open. The trails around Hinckley Lake and up at Whipp's Ledges are gorgeous right now as the leaves peak. Pack a lunch and make an afternoon of it. And save the date: Hinckley Halloween is Saturday, October 24, from 4 to 6 PM, with trick-or-treating at Hinckley Preparatory Academy and the downtown sidewalks.

Whatever you get into, enjoy the weekend. And if one of these communities has you thinking about a move, I would love to help you find the perfect place to call home. I've got you.
